On July 7, 2017, the new store for sale to the public was opened and the Castelo Rodrigo Pinking Wine was launched.

Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo´s Municipality and Castelo Rodrigo's Winery strengthening partnerships and cooperation with Douro Azul.

The Castelo Rodrigo's Cellar has launched two new Wines, the Fortaleza de Almeida Síria (white) and the Fortaleza de Almeida Touriga Nacional (red). Both made with grapes from the municipality of Almeida and that pay tribute to the historical richness and heritage of the region.

The launch was made in the Picadeiro D'El Rey, in Almeida, on the 8th of April last, when the annual celebration of the Confraria dos Aromas e Sabores Raianos took place.

ProWein took place at Düsseldorf, in Germany, between March 19 and 21 and Castelo Rodrigo´s winery was there. The exhibition is considered one of the biggest events in the wine and spirituous drinks sector in Europe and this year counted with the participation of more than 6.300 exhibitors, from 60 countries, including the most important wine regions of the world. 

Castelo Rodrigo’s winery participated in another edition of the SISAB Portugal- International Exhibition of Food and Drinks Sector -, on March 6th, 7th and 8th. SISAB is considered the largest business platform in the agri-food sector and a unique event in supporting the export of companies, which attended the exhibition. The occasion was graced, this year, by the presence of the President of the Republic of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, among other individualities.

The Essence of Wine is already an essential event in the anual calendar of sommeliers, exporters, international journalists and fans in general. Our Cellar marked its presence once again, at the gorgeous Bolsa Palace, in Porto, between the 23rd and 26th of the past February.

The Meeting with Wine and Flavours, organized by “Revista dos Vinhos”, is the oldest wine and gastronomic event that takes place in Portugal. Castelo Rodrigo´s winery was present in another edition, held at the Congress Centre of Lisbon, between November 11th and 14th.

We are present in another event , this time at the Fair WINES & TASTES in Recife, Brazil.

His Excellency Mr. Prime Minister António Costa and the Minister of Agriculture Dr. Capoulas Santos and CEO of SISAB Dr. Carlos Morais , Hon. Chairman of C. M. Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo Dr. Paul Langrouva made ​​a toast to Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo with our Castelo Rodrigo Sparkling Gross.

More than 3,000 wines from more than 300 producers represented domestic and foreign. And a parallel program of themed events and premium harmonies, conducted by someone who really knows what he speaks . On Essence of Wine - Port gather large wine names, great wine experts. We will be represented.

During the official opening ceremony of the traditional festivals of the Almond Blossom, the illustrious Secretary of State for Forestry and Rural Development , Dr. Amândio Torres, he was present at our stand and tasted our Magnificent Convento de Aguiar Reserve Sparkling Gross and where he was offered a bottle of the famous Rodriguinha (Brandy).

Already available Convento Aguiar Sparkling Brut Reserve 2013 produced from Syria and Source Cal castes, from old vines with late harvest. It is characterized for being a fruity sparkling wine, fresh and harmonious. Limited edition.
